Rather against the “run of play” (the end of 2012 was very quiet on the job front in labs) we have been contacted by three employers, all on the Central Coast with positions available in their labs. Each of them does require some level of experience, so is probably best suited to someone who has completed one year of studies.
1. TrendPac – a QA Chemist to work in a manufacturing environment, on rotation shift. The job roughly involves sampling and testing of various products including dishwashing liquids, shampoos, cream and lotions, fabric softeners and various more. The shift hours are from 7am till 3:15pm, 3pm till 11:15pm and 11pm till 7:15am, rotating every month

2. Sanitarium – for details of the position (which is replacement for a staff member on maternity leave) – see here.
3. University of Newcastle (Ourimbah campus) – a casual Technical Officer to cover a staff member’s extended sick leave; initially for 4 weeks, but may be extended to 12 weeks or more. It will be 35 hours per week – nominally 9am to 5 pm. Tasks including first year chemistry and field class preparation.
